The past may be over. You still find yourself on guard, disconnected, or struggling to feel safe with others.

Complex trauma can develop through repeated experiences of fear, instability, or emotional harm, often within important relationships. You may not have one event to point to, but the effects can still shape your life today.

I offer depth-oriented, IFS-informed therapy to help you understand your protective patterns and work toward greater connection and choice.

Complex Trauma Therapy

How complex trauma shows up in the present

Even when there is no active threat, your nervous system may still be reacting as if you’re in danger.

You might find yourself:

  • Constantly on guard

  • Overwhelmed by stress

  • Overly self-critical

  • Depressed, tired, and disconnected

  • Overthinking

  • People-pleasing

  • Struggling to trust and feel safe with others.

The past may be over, but your body, relationships, and patterns still carry repeated exposures of pain and trauma.

Healing looks like recognizing the pain that was never witnessed, and relating to yourself and others in a new way so your mind and body can relax.

From surviving toward flourishing.

In IFS-informed therapy, we explore the parts of you that stay on guard, criticize, shut down, or try to keep everyone happy. We approach these responses with curiosity and compassion, at a pace that feels workable.

Alongside deeper understanding, we work toward recognizing triggers, responding to overwhelming feelings, setting boundaries, and building relationships that feel safer. Progress can include more room to rest, receive support, and live from your values.

If relationship patterns or anxiety and burnout are part of your experience, we make room for those too. Faith integration is optional.
