Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you’re a Christian who feels stuck and tired despite your faith, that’s one of the clearest signs therapy could be helpful.

You’ve probably been praying, going to church, and trying harder — yet the same patterns keep repeating in your relationships, your mind, or your body. There is a disconnect between what you believe and what you actually feel and that is telling. It’s not a sign of weak faith or even that something is wrong with you, It’s just a sign that some deeper healing is needed. Jesus is all about healing so you have nothing to worry about.

Therapy with me is not just talking about your feelings. It’s about addressing the whole person — body, soul, and spirit:

    • Body: Calming your nervous system and releasing the tension that keeps you anxious or drained.

    • Soul/Mind: Gently and clinically working with your inner parts (using IFS) so the constant inner conflict, shame, or overthinking finally quiets down.

    • Spirit: Recognizing when spiritual warfare, lies, or old wounds are affecting you, and inviting Jesus into those places for real freedom.

If that sounds familiar, therapy can be the relational healing you’ve been missing. God designed us to heal in relationship — with Him and with others.

If you’re unsure whether it’s the right time, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. It’s a low-pressure way to see if my approach feels like a good fit for you.

  • It depends on your goals and what we’re working on together.

Many clients begin experiencing meaningful shifts—more peace, better emotional regulation, and healthier patterns—within 3 to 6 months. Deeper healing from trauma, long-standing relational wounds, or stubborn inner patterns often takes 6 to 12 months or longer.

We’ll regularly check in on your progress and adjust as needed. My goal is never to keep you in therapy indefinitely. We work toward real freedom and growth so you can walk more confidently in who God created you to be.

At that point, you will be free to choose whether to continue working with me or not.

  • Therapy sessions are $175 per 50 minutes.

  • Therapy is a meaningful investment in your emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. Most sessions with me are $175.

To help you consider the value, here’s what that looks like:

    • Weekly for 6 months: $4,200 (26 sessions)

    • Weekly for 12 months: $8,400 (48 sessions)

    • Bi-weekly for 12 months: $4,200 (24 sessions)

Many people easily spend this much (or more) on just one year of college, getting the latest clothes, eating out, or annual vacations — yet few investments directly shape your daily peace, relationships, and ability to show up as the person God created you to be.

Unlike temporary fixes, faith-based therapy helps you address the root issues — nervous system dysregulation, inner conflicts, relational wounds, and spiritual blocks — so you can experience lasting freedom instead of repeating the same cycles.

Bottom line: For the cost of one semester of college (or less), you have the opportunity to create real, transformational change in your life.

If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and tired despite your faith, I invite you to book a free 15-minute consultation. There’s no pressure — it’s simply a chance for us to see if we’re a good fit.

  • Therapy is confidential and doesn't go on any "permanent record." If you're paying out-of-pocket (not using insurance), there's even less of a paper trail. Your employer won't know unless you tell them.

  • I work with insurance indirectly. Essentially, I provide a receipt or “superbill” you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Many insurance plans cover 50-80% of the cost. You pay me $175/session upfront, then get reimbursed by your insurance. Contact your insurance to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits before starting.

  • I provide therapy primarily through secure online telehealth. Contact me directly if you want in-person.

Why telehealth? It allows me to reach men across California who don't have access to quality therapists specializing in men's issues. Telehealth removes the geographic barrier so you can work with someone who actually gets what you're dealing with, regardless of where you live in the state.
